MHS Electronics is a key European Silicon Foundry provider of specialized Analog and Mixed-Signal technologies and services.
Brief
MHS Electronics required a full desktop PC, server and network upgrade to provide their staff with a speedier system and allow a more productive environment.
The solution included the implementation of a brand new Infrastructure consistsing of 34 servers (virtualized using Hyper-V and Server 2008 - 13 physical) terminal services for remote users, 380 PCs running Windows XP and the servers running Exchange 2007, Windows Server 2008, ISA Server 2006 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007. The system also consisted of 11 legacy Unix servers which were upgraded and migrated to the new domain.
Solution
EZE IT put together a project team consisting of the client sponsor, the client IT administrator and an EZE IT project manager, server team leader and desktop team leader.
The project team spent two months gathering information on the current system and it’s use & configuration & planning the project. Over 380 PCs & 34 servers across 2 sites were rolled-out in one weekend, with a team of post-implementation engineers onsite to ensure minimal disruption and a fast start-up for staff.
Once the project was completed, EZE IT provided MHS a fully outsourced IT service desk from the EZE IT Support Centre, providing both desktop support and server support.
